Description
This is a sketch of a Pelican. Pelicans are found all along the coast of the United States and are just so fun to watch, especially when they are fishing. The model is a brilliant photo by a fantastic photographer , Kelley Freel-Ebner. I experimented with some different techniques on this drawing. Hope it's acceptable . Please visit Kelley's portfolio of great photos , found here on fineartamerica .

The detail is spectacular, and I love the swirl of the ocean behind. Great drawing

Thank you very much Jan :) this guy (or girl, I don't really know a lot about pelicans) was a bit of a challenge . But that made it fun and interesting !
